Permatex Liquid Metal Filler 3.5oz / 99g 25909 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Permatex Liquid Metal Filler is an easy-to-use filler that can be drilled, filed, sanded and painted. It forms a long-lasting, metal-tough bond and works on metal, wood, and concrete. This Liquid Metal Filler provides excellent adhesion to galvanized metal, and repairs cracks or porosity leaks in cast metal parts. Use to fill small holes, cracks, and perforations. Features: Easy-to-use filler forms along-lasting, metal-tough bond Repairs cracks or porosity leaks in case metal parts Can be drilled, filed, sanded and painted Works on metal, wood, and concrete Excellent adhesion to galvanized metal DIRECTIONS: 1. Make sure the surface to be repaired is clean and free of oil and grease. For best results, roughen the surface slightly with sandpaper. 2. Pierce the seal in the head of the tube. Apply LIQUID METAL FILLER straight from the tube. If desired, use a wet putty knife or spatula to smooth out the repair. 3. LIQUID METAL FILLER will dry in 3 to 4 hours. For filling deep holes, apply LIQUID METAL FILLER in 1/4 layers. Allow each layer to dry before adding the next. 4. Use Acetone or nail polish remover to clean up excess LIQUID METAL FILLER.

It was quite smelly, but as soon as it dried, that was completely gone.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this electrically conductive?**
A: No

**Q: What is it's maximum operating temperature? I have an automotive repair and it will get pretty hot. If not, is there an alternate?**
A: The pot I repaired had been used several times for baking in an oven with 450 degree or higher temps.  It has been used numerous times to boil water for canning (Can you guess it is my favorite pot) and is still going strong.  I believe in the permatex liquid metal and would recommend it for any metal repair.

**Q: I need to solder a jump ring on my medic-alert band, do you think this will work?**
A: Works well as a filler.  I don't think it will work as solder.

**Q: When dried, is it smooth or rough?**
A: Smooth.  It doesn’t dry hard like metal but somewhat harder than a silicone product.  I smooth mine out before it dries.
