It feels very solid in your hands and uses the older light bulb/ lighting system inserted into the bottom of the base. Since I only took out the sculpt to verify its condition, I did not plug it in to test it, but I have plenty of the multiple light strings on hand if it does not work. The signs are included in separate clear bags and are exceptional in design and manufacture.
