They are not cheap but work a million times better than the plastic ones, as clothes don't slip off them and they are thin enough that they don't take up half the wardrobe, unlike wooden ones. They are holding clothes well up to at least age 11-12ish and were also good for much smaller sizes. My kids have snapped a couple of the old packet (at the point the hook swivels on the hanger) but only by accidentally standing on them so they are very resilient so far and *so* much less frustrating than the slippy plastic sort. The swivel is a bit stiff but actually I don't want them to be turning around all the time and they do turn so this is just right.
