My right knee felt just a little pain, but my left knee was really suffering. I was worried I might not be able to finish the ski season, but luckily with the PRICE method (protect, rest, ice, compress and elevate) and a few Epson salt baths I was back on the slopes within a couple of weeks. The scary part was getting back to using the knees again. I searched for some easy lightweight compression for the right knee, but needed a sturdy brace for the left. This Drixy Knee Brace absolutely DID THE JOB....I'm wearing it now for over four months (twice a week) and am grateful for the excellent support it has given me. It is also very easy to adjust the exact amount of pressure needed to keep it on for some severe skiing and at the same time has a middle under the knee strap that can be lightly adjusted so circulation continues. It has never slipped, does not have any unpleasant material odor like some products. Very easy to put on and take off. My wife had to use large denim ... *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2018* I purchashed the Drixy knee brace support in December 2017, as my right knee inner meniscus is worn to about 1/3 its normal thickness. I am an active senior and need the brace for lateral support during golfing and vertical weight bearing such as stairs. I have it on 12 to 14 hours per day. The Drixy was adequate and did the job when new. However, after about 3 to 4 months, it did not hold and began slipping. After 5 months, I purchased 2 inch wide velcro. I replaced the 4 sq inches of velcro with 12 sq inches of new velcro. It really works good now. My wife had to use large denim needle in her sewing machine. We also had to avoid the vertical stiffeners in the Drixy. That limited the extra velcro to 12 sq inches. Also, velcro from one manufacturer may not be compatible with another; they will not be as strong when not a matching pair. That means you have to sew velcro on BOTH sides, not just the hook side. I will see how long the new larger size velcro works.
