When I first opened the box, I was amazed at the artistry and design of all the fun hamsters! Every hamster is described with an adjective beginning with the letter H, which makes it so much more fun to play and easier to remember what cards there are. After reading through the instructions, my wife, my parents and I dived in and played for about 4 hours straight. The first round was honestly a little confusing (as it would be with any new game), but the game comes with a handy card you keep next to you of what options the player has each turn. The objective is to collect 9 clan hamsters (9 of the same color) or 16 horde hamsters (16 total). It is a great balance of strategy and luck as well as complexity, but not complicated.The best part is the game could be going terribly for you, but there are chances and cards throughout to rebuild your horde and get back on top!It's a great game for kids and a highly addictive game for adults.Definitely my new favorite, go-to game.
