Good ladle, okay environmental credentials
I try to avoid plastic utensils for environmental reasons, but I also have some non-stick pans that I'd like to keep in good condition, so needs must. I thought this product range by Zyliss, which replaces half the plastic in the product with wheat straw, is a good way to be a bit greener... though a metal or wooden ladle would be even better, environmentally speaking.Still, if you prefer a plastic ladle, this is a good product. The material actually feels really nice, it does feel different to regular plastic utensils, but I personally think it feels and looks a lot more premium. The size of both the handle and the bowl of the ladle are good.I was going to write that I don't think £8 is good value - however having never bought a ladle before I thought I'd check my other options. My usual go-to brand for utensils sell a plastic ladle, which is currently £14 (!!!) on Amazon. Even your unknown Chinese brands, both plastic and stainless steel, are only marginally cheaper (£2-3 off at most), so on reflection I think the price is good.

Excellent ladle
I really like this brand having several of their products. I’ve been looking for a nylon ladle for a little while that would be above all easy to handle. This one is perfect for soup and other dishes. It has a nice soft handle which is easy to grip and provides good control when you are moving to and from the bowl. It doesn't scratch the pan. It's weighted well for a nylon ladle.Personally, I could not ask for anything more from a ladle. The handle is strong, the scoop holds up to high heat and it is very, very easy to wash, being non-stick itself. An essential piece for any kitchen. You can't go wrong purchasing this product if you are in the market for a ladle.
