I used the dye for cotton tablecloths and napkins and it didn’t run when they got damp/wet. **Q: Will this dye the polyester thread on clothing?** A: No. It will only dye natural fabrics. The thread will usually not hold the dye **Q: CAn I see instructions before buying? Worried dye will affect my washing machine and future washes** A: I use this dye often . It uses a soak method rather than machine. It does not cause any problem or stay in the machine after washing . If you want to be sure, they also have a dye fixative that further prevents running of the dye and longevity of your colours. **Q: Can I use this on polyester?** A: The All Purpose dye is better for natural fabrics like cotton, linen and wool.
