The mugs came securely wrapped. They are thicker and higher quality than I expected. I also like the size, being a bit bigger for my daily morning tea. I ordered another set because I liked them so much. The lids are wood with a rubber grommet around the base. The glass mugs I have washed both by hand and in the dishwasher. I just hand wash the lids and air dry. I highly recommend them.

I just got two more of these. They quickly became my favorite mug/glass. Twenty ozs of coffee that stays very hot if the top is used. Very strong and light. Nice handle feel and cool to drink out of it even with hot coffee. Really good for cold drinks. I have not tried beer. If you carry your coffee around there is less chance of spilling with the top on. Best cup I have ever had.
