It is loud if you're on the highway weather its windy or not. Review: After some intensive review on dozens of helmets, I went with this particular brand/model. I utilized the sharp.dft.gov website to base most of my research on as they have done extensive testing on helmets providing a score on safety of the helmet. This particular one had a very high rating. Cant get any better than that. (Though it is a UK site) It provided valuable information. You cant beat that price for it either. My only real gripe with the helmet is that it fogs up rather easily, even in some warmer days. Helmet fits snuggly, perhaps too snug at first but after wearing it several times it has softened up. Putting it on and taking it off can be done very simply now.
