I really look after my spa but you do get bits in the bottom and this is the best thing I have bought for it. It cleans the floor of the spa, pumping action. Putting the water back in but the bits held inside filter that you wash out. So no added expense. Really good purchase. **Q: I’m a bit of a weed will I be able to prime it** A: Yeah, its not overly difficult to prime, but it might make your shoulder ache after a while! **Q: Can it be used to empty the dregs after the hot tub has been emptied using an electric pump?** A: It needs water to create the vacuum as long as there is an inch or two then yes. I clear the dregs as and when they appear it will pick up sand etc with ease whilst the spa is full. It keeps my spa very clean. **Q: Will this work in a 12’ round 48” deep pool? And how effective is it? Are the hoovers which go into hoses better?** A: It is very easy to use and effective. I would recommend that it is cleaned/ rinsed out each time you use it. It cleans our hot tub brilliantly. There have been comments about it's length in other reviews which are true if you review it before using it but when it's used it is perfect as most is under water and you only handle the top end. There were other comments about the filter floating around inside the unit, that is not the case and it just needs pushing into position and twisting to lock it in. Other people suggested it had no suction, it has plenty for leaves, bits of grit and debris, it's not a Vac for a large pool but it is works really well for getting the 'bits' out of the bottom of a Spa and takes minutes to clean the whole thing So ... I read the reviews I tried it, it's great for a hot tub I am very pleased. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great product *by M***X on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 September 2023* The set up instructions could be better, especially explaining that the bottom tube is packaged inside the bottom chamber and needs to be removed beforehand. Picks up the little black bits at the bottom of the hot tub very effectively and retains them in the filter basket. Just twist the end to take out the filter and run it under the tap to clean. Solid construction so it should last a while. Make sure you read the assembly instructions - one part is stored inside another the wrong way round. This led to some brief head-scratching.Not really suitable for removing large amounts of stuff. It would do it but it would take ages. Best to use it often so that the dirt doesn’t build up. Overall, excellent value for money.
