I bought 2 of these to circulate air in my upper loft, but if they shut off they** A: I was trying to figure out the same thing. I've been informed by rowenta that the fan shuts off after twelve hours if you haven't picked an earlier shut off. Really? What's wrong with you people? It's my effing fan!!! I bought it!!! I'm not renting it. At this point it's too late for me, but on general principle, spend your money on products you can actually control. I guess I'll go howl at the moon, now. Grrrr! **Q: Current turbo fan can angle higher than stairs (about 45 degrees) so it cools the warmer upstairs bedrooms. Can this fan angle that high?** A: Not even half lol maybe 15°. It has a very heavy base, I just put a 2x4 under it to make it aim higher. About 45°. And it's still very sturdy. **Q: Is this fan powerful?** A: Powerful is a subjective description, I purchased it so I would have a nice breeze on me at night while sleeping without some noisy fan running. It’s on low when I use it. Best fan for night sleeping I have found.
