Well balanced and well made. Blade is nice and sharp right out of the box and I did the paper cutting test which turned out to be razor sharp. Very hefty knife and well worth every penny. In the description it says that the knife is 12.5", but it actually measures out to be a solid 13" from tip to hilt.
