Review: Out-freaking-standing tool - This is a great tool and well worth what it cost. It's useful not just for looking inside things, but for looking around things that are obscured. I recently used it to diagnose a coolant leak in my vehicle, which I suspected was coming from the water pump weep hole. I used this borescope to take a look at the underside of the water pump. Had to be done with the motor running, and the flexible steel shaft worked particularly well. It allows you to bend the shaft into the desired shape, and it will hold that shape. That coupled with the articulating head made it possible to do the deed. As it turned out the water pump was fine, so this scope saved me the time and aggravation of changing out a part that's not broke. Image quality is excellent and in color. And the ability to capture images and video is just icing on the cake. This thing is the bomb shizzle. Very glad I bought it. Used it again on a radiator replacement - which is where the leak WAS coming from. I inspected the inside of the new radiator to make sure there was no debris in it, and I used it to insure that the pins on the bottom were properly aligned with the brackets on the A/C condenser. And where it was absolutely invaluable was with the snap coupling for the transmission cooler. I was able to look inside the coupler to see if the tabs were properly engaged, and I didn't like what I saw. Took the fitting back apart, bent the tabs out a bit, and reassembled. Looked again and verified that all four tabs had positive engagement. There's no way I could have inspected that fitting without the articulating head on this little jewel. This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite tools - and I've got a LOT of tools. Used it again on a harmonic balancer replacement. It was exactly the tool I needed for initial diagnosis. After hearing a thump followed by a vibration, I was able to quickly look at the rubber on the HB and I could clearly see that it was cracked all the way around. I could get access to the balancer from the bottom without having to remove a bunch of stuff, but when installing the new HB I had no way to actually see if the groove was lined up properly with the key. It felt like it was okay, but there's no substitute for getting eyes on. So out came the Teslong and in less than a minute I was able to look directly into the end of the harmonic balancer and I could clearly see the key in the notch. The applications for this thing are endless.

This is a great tool and well worth what it cost. It's useful not just for looking inside things, but for looking around things that are obscured. I recently used it to diagnose a coolant leak in my vehicle, which I suspected was coming from the water pump weep hole. I used this borescope to take a look at the underside of the water pump. Had to be done with the motor running, and the flexible steel shaft worked particularly well. It allows you to bend the shaft into the desired shape, and it will hold that shape. That coupled with the articulating head made it possible to do the deed. As it turned out the water pump was fine, so this scope saved me the time and aggravation of changing out a part that's not broke. Image quality is excellent and in color. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Inspection Tool with Various Use Cases

This is a very cool tool and was worth the price. I'll admit I've only used it a few times in the past 1.5 years since I bought it but so far it still works and has a lot of nice features. I've used it to check inside the engine block to see the pistons, I've checked behind walls for pests/termites, and I've used it for tight spaces in automobiles for inspections. The image quality is far more accurate than the "OEM" rental tools from Autozone. Just tested and powered up again and it holds full battery charge after 6 months of sitting. You can save images to an SD card and you also get a nice thin scope that fits through most regular inspection areas easily. The scope is long and it It comes with a soft case that the tool fits well into. It's USB rechargeable so you don't need new batteries every time you use it. One of the best features is you can tilt it like a Doctor's scope up or down once in the inspection area to get a better view. Well worth the price of 103.99 at the time of purchase.
