Previously I have used the cheaper gloves with red backs that are touted on Amazon (the red ones are cheap but useless - the rubber peels off almost immediately and I wear holes through the gloves inside a day). These German gloves are excellent. I have been using my first pair for two weeks of handling oak beams and heavy duty tools and they are just beginning to show a little wear. More than satisfactory and I will buy them again. It is much cheaper to buy good quality - even in the short term - based on these.
