I'm a bit iffy when it comes to runes. I've done a lot of reading about them and I made my own rune stones. I wanted a deck because I'm a very visual person and like to work with cards and images. And I thought that I was mostly gonna use this deck as a training tool, completely dismissing the book. But I actually really like the cards. I'm not much into gods and goddesses but the energy of them in this deck is spot on. And the book is actually fantastic. Simple and well written. I truly recommend this deck to anyone who wants to work with north energy (or how many people interpret that energy these days) but I'd also urge you to get some additional information about the runes and always go with your intuition.The card stock is ok. It's quite thin and very glossy. What bothers me is that the box and book are a different size than the cards, which are pretty big actually. So the cards fly around in the box when ever I take the deck with me. But the deck in total is too thin to not have them in a solid box. If I were to transfer them into a cloth bag, they'd definitely get bend or worse.
