I needed 25cm .Anyway my cocker spaniel puppy much preferred it to plastic cone , hated noise plastic cone made when he hit things . This one is study , and comfortable compared to plastic vet one . He definitely couldn’t reach wound . Only downside was restricted visibility. I did fold it bk at times . Can get a bit warm especially with spaniel ears . My big Newfie boy weighing in at 74.5kg had to have an operation on his back leg and this did the trick perfectly, it withstood his many attempts to force it off by ramming it against all my kitchen cupboard door knobs, which ended up coming off the doors. However the hood still survived and is still surviving up to 4 wks later.
