Review: Works great - After reaching the age of a million and one years, I finally discovered the cheap thrills of having a clean edge while using watercolors. It wows me every time I pull the tape off. This sticks well enough to do the job but also easily peels off. Nice paper works the best but if I was slightly careful, it would peel off from inexpensive watercolor sheets from Walmart. I was in need of a few cards I wanted to send in the mail, it was important enough to me to have them receive something real. I quickly bought the paper and ordered other supplies from desertcart. So much fun! Now I can't stop, somebody help me! 😘
Review: Just tacky enough to work perfectly. - My wife has been using masking tape or low-tack painters’ tape for bordering pieces or for sectioning off geometric abstract neurographic or mindfulness images, but even after pressing it against cloth first to take away some of the tackiness, it still sometimes damaged the paper when removed. It can also be difficult to find smaller width masking tape. She often works with half or quarter sheet pieces and says this tape is just what she needs. The width is great for some of her smaller work, it’s tacky enough to stay in place and holds up well when used with watercolor, graphite, colored pencils or markers. It comes off easily without damaging the paper. Oddly enough, this art-specific tape that does the job perfectly is also much more reasonably priced than anything else she was using, plus she was able to find it in the sizes she was looking for.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the tape tear or damage watercolor paper when removed?**
A: This ETNRHP Artist tape is low-tack and designed for lightweight watercolor paper (ideal for 140lb/300gsm). Following our recommended removal method minimizes paper damage and leaves no residue. Claims of "100% no damage" would be exaggerated.

**Q: Does it really prevent paint bleed-through for clean edges?**
A: Yes. Finer crepe paper create a tighter edge seal, preventing bleed-through for watercolor, acrylic & oil pastel—even wet-on-wet (mind water usage). Press firmly before painting and remove slowly.

**Q: Can the tape be repositioned after applying?**
A: Yes, gently. Our low-tack adhesive allows for easy repositioning without losing grip or leaving residue. For best results, press lightly first, adjust as needed, then press firmly before painting.

**Q: How do I choose the right size?**
A: It depends on your project. 0.25"–0.5" for fine details and precise borders. 0.6"–0.8" for standard watercolor work. 1"–2" for large canvases and quick mounting. All sizes are low-tack and safe for watercolor paper.

**Q: Why is the rating lower than other brands?**
A: ETNFHP is a factory committed to quality tape. Since joining Amazon, we've faced competitive challenges, and some reviews may not reflect our product accurately. We stand behind our product and are here to help via Amazon messaging.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just tacky enough to work perfectly.

My wife has been using masking tape or low-tack painters’ tape for bordering pieces or for sectioning off geometric abstract neurographic or mindfulness images, but even after pressing it against cloth first to take away some of the tackiness, it still sometimes damaged the paper when removed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not perfect for watercolor painting
*by J***M on August 20, 2025*

For me, it did not have enough holding power to keep a 9x12 (140-pound) watercolor paper on a surface. So it did not prevent the buckling of the paper. It doesn't hold WC paper like typical masking tape will. For me, it was only adequate for holding down a small greeting card-sized WC painting. I let my students try it, but didn't recommend it. To remove regular masking tape w/o damaging the paper, simply heat it with a hair dryer.
