Auch wenn die Spezifikation nur davon schreibt, den Stecklplatz für ein Mobilfunkmodem zu benutzen, kann man auch eine SSD darin betreiben, sofern es sich um eine PCIe-SSD (nicht SATA!) mit passender Kodierung handelt. Davon gibt es nicht viele und sie sind recht teuer. Aber das CM kann sie ansprechen und sogar davon booten. Die UPS benötigt drei Li-Akkus (3.7V) im AAA-(Mignon-) Format - auch selten und teuer, aber sie erfüllt ihren Zweck.
