U will need a regular wrench to hold the bolt in place while u attach the bolt and washer to the screws. The bolt will only twist by hand so far. This will take time and patience. Overall, it is great quality and affordable and worth the effort to put together. I added a picture of what I had to use.

We like it overall. The material is very sturdy, the color is bright and it glides nicely, but the frame is a bit light. It was easy to assemble following the illustrations in the manual. After about 3 weeks one of the bolts broke (we have a combined weight of 350 pounds). It's rated for 440 pounds... I wouldn't use it if you have combined weight of more than 400 pounds. It's comfortable, glides nice and is a reasonable price.
