## Description

desertcart.com: Kahtoola NANOspikes Footwear Traction for ICY Winter Road Running & Walking - Charcoal/Red - Large : Sports & Outdoors

Review: Feel safe and sure-footed! - I am old and I do not run, lol. Slipping on icy pavement is a huge threat to my ability to age in place. My active dog walks/ runs/ plays at least three times a day and I need to feel secure taking him out. The Nano Spikes are ideal! I’ve used other cleats that felt dangerously slippery on dry pavement. The Kathoola nubs compress (just a smidge) into the rubber lugs making me feel secure on the icy spots as well as the dry spots. I did buy a larger size so they are easy to put on and off while standing on the mat by the back door regardless of whatever shoe/ boot/ slipper I am wearing. I’m very pleased with this purchase and will enjoy feeling safe and sure-footed all winter. I will order a pair for my husband too. He will complain at first, but once he tries them, he will be as impressed as me. Well worth the price!
Review: thumbs up - feel good.

## Features

- BEST FOR: Athletes looking for traction on road running city streets or walking on sidewalks in hard-packed snow and icy conditions; ideal for use on lightweight running shoes. The ultra-low profile NANOspikes traction footwear has been redesigned to ensure runners can safely and securely perform on hard slippery surfaces without affecting their gait or foot strike.
- SPIKE DESIGN: 10 concave tungsten carbide spikes per foot with enhanced stepped lug design to provide directionally optimized grip on ascents and descents through soft snow. Center plate ridges effectively deflect uneven ice allowing spikes to engage faster.
- IMPROVED SECURE FIT: Integrated tow bail reinforces stress points and contours to variable footwear; now with increased size ranges available (US W 5- M 13+). Redesigned heel tab allows for easier stretching on and removal from footwear. Low profile rivet connection serves to provide enhanced comfort by minimizing pressure points by dispersing impact forces.
- ELASTOMER HARNESS & REINFORCED EYELETS: Patented reinforced eyelet design strengthens key stress points. The all-new elastomer harness design is strong, optimally lightweight and provides an improved all-around fit, especially in the heel. The elastomer is constructed from a durable TPE material that remains stretchy through cold temperatures, down to -22°F (-30°C).
- KAHTOOLA: Est. in 1999 Kahtoola is on a mission to build exceptional products that make the outdoors more accessible and rewarding. Please see sizing chart in product images. 4-year manufacturer warranty. Shoes not included. All Kahtoola traction devices are manufactured in Taiwan.

feel good.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple design and stay on
*by F***M on January 9, 2026*

Fairly Easy to put on sneakers and they look like they will stay on. But I haven't had a chance to use these yet on ice and snow. Thus the 4-star review. UPDATE: I was able to use these recently and they work great. I was able to fit on several different kinds of shoes including Dansko closed heel Clogs, Sketches step in boots and my bulky snow boots. You just have to buy the right size. I wear a 9.5 women's shoe and the Medium Nanospikes fit fine. Just make sure to remove before walking on flooring that can be damaged by the spikes.
