It was not the easiest 40# hollow braid I have worked with, but still very workable, no complaints (40# hollow in general is more "difficult" to work with than say 80# hollow). I used to it make 10 wind-on leaders with 40# and 50# fluorocarbon leaders. The braid opened up fairly easily and threaded well. I did not run into any "blockages" in the hollow. The spool was packed firmly.
