I paid like $14.99 for a Belkin version of this at Target (for only one cable!) and those failed after about 6-8 months (its construction was similar to apple's cable). I can already tell that these are built more robustly- the rubber/plastic coating is more rigid. It still flexes fine, but the tork is distributed along the length of the cable, rather than focused on the insertion point at the ends.
