Mine was 2.0mm thick. I drill a hole in the sheet and am able to add a 1/4-20 riv-nut (rivet with nut inside) and it did not flex when I added it.I use these to bounce the sun into areas I need light.Fibre glass center didnt appear to effect overall stiffness. There was a little bit of untrimmed and raw edge on the plate I received on one side, so you might not be able to get the full width or length if you really need it, but I was able to just trim it off when I cut everything to size and still had enough material for my needs.
