This pump is extremely noisy. You can't hear yourself talk if close to it. Also, there is no rating on how much pressure it can produce in the description. I am pulling water from a 3,000 gal storage tank right next to it, via 2" copper, so no priming necessary. Rotation is correct, but it stuggles to build pressure to maybe 50 lbs. Parallel (next to it) is a Gould (sisterpump) with exact same piping, 3-HP, 3-phase, 3450 rpm. It's absolutely smooth as silk, can hardly hear it run up to 62 psi instantly, installed in 2009.I purchased the new one as a backup to share the load. Think it was a defect return from Amazon Warehouse? But they say they are going to replace it with a new one, so I'll give it another try I guess. BTW: I called the manufacturer, and they were not at all helpful. They say they have nothing to do with the Amazon sales.....hmmmm.Strange. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good centrifugal pump to draw water from the river below into my earthen ponds using a screened foot valve. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 31, 2015* Working great so far; I have mine covered with some used satellite dishes; they are supposed to be weatherproof but they are worth the protection; good pressure and good volume; use them to draw water from the river using a foot valve protected by a crawfish trap to avoid damage to the foot valve from stuff like logs and plastic bags flowing downstream and hitting the screen on the foot valve; so far, so good.
