The absorbent inner layers draw moisture away from the wound and a low-adherent wound contact layaer (made from perforated film) minimises the risk of the dressing adhering to the wound bed, enabling easy and painless dressing removal. - Suitable for use as a primary dressing for low to moderate level exudate wounds. For example; superficial cuts and abrasions, clean closed post-operative wounds and minor burns. - 365 Non-Adherent Absorbent Dressing has a relatively low absorbent capacity and is therefore intended for use on lightly exuding wounds. In these situations, a single dressing may simply be secured in position with surgical tape. On more heavily exuding wounds, 365 Absorbent Dressing Pads may be used as a wound contact layer, beneath a secondary absorbent pad held in position with medical tape or a bandage. - To apply, stop any bleeding at the site before applying the dressing. Cleanse the wound and select a dressing pad large enough to provide a margin that reaches dry healthy skin around the wound site and apply. The frequency of dressing change will depend on the clinical condition of the wound, the dressing should be changed if exudate penetrates the dressing. - Precautions: 365 Non-Adherent Absorbent Dressings should be used with caution in the treatment of leg ulcers that produce copious quantities of very viscous exudate. Under these circumstances, the exudate may become trapped under the dressing, leading to maceration and inflammation of the surrounding skin. Do not use if the peel pouch is opened or damaged.
