My youngest son and I went on a 18 day African Safari and the Deet worked very well. We used latex gloves to apply the wipes on our neck and arms and one pad was enough for two people for a single application. **Q: Will 1 wipe approximately cover the exposed skin of an adult wearing short sleeves and shorts (basically legs and arms and face/neck exposed)?** A: It worked for me in the USA. Using Deet, I applied with disposable plastic gloves which you can buy in the paint department of a major hardware store. If you are going to visit Africa and India, I would not recommend shorts and short sleeve shirts. I wore long sleeve shirts and long pants in a light weight cotton to keep the sun and the flies off in Africa. In India, wearing shorts is inappropriate at most sights. Hope this helps. **Q: How many in a packet please?** A: Each packet is meant for one use only. So 12 packets, 12 uses. Great for travel. Product seemed to work for me when I used it for some backwoods hiking. I use cheaper sprays for home use. **Q: Can you use these wipes hand in hand with sunscreen? I prefer to challenge myself to travel lighter when flying. These fit in anywhere. The price is reasonable and what I was specifically searching for.I realize it is more packaging, but I would prefer environmentalists scream at the makers of plastic to stop making plastic than at people who unknowingly recycle plastics that end up in our oceans and waterways. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super convenient for travel!!! *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on 25 June 2023* Used these in Cancun Mexico! Super easy to get on the plane instead of liquid and trust me you don't want to buy the marked up bug spray in Mexico! Also convenient to pop a couple in purse, bag, or carryon. I usually get bit alot but I didn't get one bite on my stay! The trick with these is to NOT unfold the wipe when you take it out of the package!! Open the package take the folded wipe out and rub it on your skin a few strokes WHILE IT'S FOLDED. After a few strokes RUB the liquid from the wipe in until your body is covered. Place the wipe back in the pack!! You can use the wipe for at least 2 applications if you do it this way. If you unfold the wipe it will be done in the first few wipes. These also have 30% DEET which is 5% more than OFF brands! You can smell the Deet but it is not over bearing on your body when you put it on. Every one's skin is different so I did do a small skin test on various parts of my body like arms, legs, and stomach before leaving to make sure I didn't have a bad reaction. This also works well with sunscreen as I applied both to my body everyday in Cancun. I take this when I travel just in case the local bugs like me! The packet slips into my purse or backpack without adding bulk. It's not a liquid in a bottle so it's not a problem going through airport security. It wipes on easily anywhere you want to use it. Note: it leaves hands a bit oily after use and it softens nail polish if you are wearing any.
