Its AMAZING on curly hair. I have naturally curly hair and this product keeps my hair soft, healthy, manageable, and beautiful. I grew up hating my curly hair. It was frizzy and unruly and I used to get teased about it (so sad). However, ever since I started using Finesse mousse, I have received soooooooooo many compliments. Hundreds? Definitely. Thousands? Possibly. I don't keep track. I just know this mousse boosted my self esteem when I really needed it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.For years I used gel, but once I discovered mousse, I quickly converted. Not all mousse products are the same! THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE!!! I always keep a stash of at least 5 bottles at home in fear that they will one day discontinue. I figure that will hold me off until I find another inferior, but adequate mousse. I have tried almost every mousse product that can be found on the shelves like stores such as Target. I first started using Finesse because I wanted a mousse that did not have alcohol. Alcohol is damaging to hair and can dry it up. Curly hair is already naturally dry and alcohol products just make it worse. Years ago, their bottles used to say no alcohol on the label, but I haven't seen that lately, so don't get discouraged if it's not advertised on the label. It still works wonderfully.I also love this product because it keeps my curls in place without that hard gross look. My curls are soft and defined. I will say I put quite a lot of mousse in my hair. I apply it right out of the shower. I wash, ring my hair of excess water (but still keep it wet), and run about one handful of mousse through my hair. I run my hands through my hair separating it, as this will form smaller curls instead of big undefined ones. I ring out the excess water again, then run another two handfuls of mousse through. I usually let it air dry (blow dryers damage hair), but if your going to blow dry, let it air dry for at least 20 min. first to settle in.
