If this self levels why does in have a micro adjustment attachment on the base with a spirit bubble ?** A: The self level has a limited range so the platform the head is on has to be within the acceptable range so has to be roughly levelled up using the spirit bubbles and adjustment knobs. **Q: How far does laser shine on surface?** A: If you mean how long is the laser line it depends how far the laser is from the surface.
