This is the 1st Chicken Food my 2 free range hens have ever shown any interest in ! They do eat some bird seed. They love dried crickets and dried mealworms, one will eat these treats, out of my hand. I have tried several different types of Chicken food, they won't have anything to do with it. Even the opossum that comes nightly leaves the Chicken food, but cleans up all the leftover birdseed. The hens acted like this was a treat and picked at it quite a bit. They did leave all the corn, but most of the rest is gone. So happy to know they are getting all they need and are actually eating some of it. Yes it is dusty. Seems a little expensive,with shipping and handling. but since they do free range all the time, they don't need a lot of it daily.
