Ideal for various applications, it combines functionality with a sleek jet black finish, ensuring both style and resilience. ## Description This is a beautiful waterproof & a 100% natural cotton waxed fabric. It is made in the UK by a renowned wax fabric manufacturer. This fabric is constructed using 12s yarn thickness, which is thicker compared to our 2/24s two-fold wax (that uses a thinner yarn), and this makes the weight of this fabric slighter heavier. This has a single (1-fold) layer of wax applied to it, which keeps it's price economical. The extra weight and thickness of this fabric compared to our 2-fold wax means that it can be used for an even wider variety of applications other than clothing, such as bags, hats, boats covers, tents, canopies, equestrian accessories or just any type of covers. We also sell Tartan check fabric, which could be used as lining along with this waxed cotton to make attractive & waterproof items. Things to note about this fabric! We normally send the fabric folded and not on a roll. If you would like your fabric to be sent on a roll(s) please contact us and ask before you order as it will cost more to send it this way. Due to a wax treatment applied to this fabric, fold marks and creases appear on some lighter colours! This however is the nature of this fabric that is breathable and the wax coating means that it will shift with heat and weight all the time. The marks therefore won’t remain permanent and will lighten-up or fade if kept in a warm environment, close to an indirect heat source or applied to with steam! This type of fabric is widely used to make outerwear clothing items such as hats or jackets etc. therefore it is waterproof yes and can be used to cover things too however a slope needs to be maintained in order for rain water to slide off its surface and not stay collected for too long as then it would let water through!
