The usb cable carries the picture/sound from the camera to a laptop or desktop pc. The cable also carries power back from the pc to the camera. No other power source is therefore required but please note that this system only works via a cable, it is not wireless. **Q: Anyone know if the camera works with a raspberry pi** A: I have had reports from a customer that he was viewing the webcamera on a raspberry pi, he wrote: have put together a little raspberry pi system to work as a viewer which works great. It's running on raspbian which is a version of Linux. It's better than many Wi Fi versions that need a separate power supply and have a poor picture. The light switch is a dimmer that can be turned right down or off. The camera was focussed correctly out of the box, and was instantly recognised by my Windows 11 PC. Good instructions and tips are included. There is a side window that lets in light as well, which can give a picture even if the LEDs are turned off.
