(Only one shown in picture.) I sat on the finished deck box and it felt sturdy. I’m short so it was a little to tall for me to sit on easily, but it’s for the cushions not seating. Only a couple minor things I will add to it: Velcro or some other means to keep cushion from blowing away and a strap or something else to grab hold of to open lid.
