The book begins by making the point that ADHD isn't an illness, but a neurodivergent condition. It also discusses many of the myths associated with the condition and the actual truths. There's a short section with mini-biographies about famous people with ADHS who've become very successful and how ADHD "superpowers' can be harnessed. The book also discusses medications and therapies available to individuals and families affected by ADHD. There's a chapter on your child's educational experience, including individualized education plans and 504 plans. It's also full of strategies, tips, and techniques for helping your ADHD child become successful and understanding the impact of your child's condition on the entire family. Overall it's packed with info - with far more topics than I touched on here.
