The length was just fine. I looked back at the sizing chart and you will notice that in between the medium range and the large range there are a couple of inches that don't fall into either size. In fact, it wasn't so small that I wanted to return it because honestly the quality for the money is really good, so instead I used my kitchen faucet with warm water and dampened everything from the chest down on the outside only and then I stuffed at with a sleeping bag for one day. It fits perfectly now. Yes, it took a little bit of work but again for the value it was worth it. The only drawback that I cannot change is that the armholes, even on the medium, seem to be bigger than they need to be, but not obnoxiously so. The leather is thick, not thin and flimsy.
