**Q: Is this product of China or Japan?**
A: Amazon describes it as 'Product of Japan' so one assumes that is correct. However, in smallish print the jar has the words 'Product of China'. I think in this case Amazon should confirm which is correct? I have suffered no problems in using it.

**Q: How long does this product last after it has been opened?**
A: I opened mine at Xmas and still going, it is pickled so I imagine a few months if kept in the fridge.

**Q: How many actual calories are in this? It says 6kcal per 100g in the picture but when i orded a long while ago i remember it being more!**
A: Forever

**Q: Is this pickled ginger?**
A: not sure whether you would call it pickled but it is preserved and delicious with salmon
