At first I was a bit taken aback by the price of these two, but then I remembered that I had seen over $30 for just one square one in a big box store that was very soft.I am so glad that I took a chance. These pillows are simply beautiful and very, very comfortable. And they fit perfectly. The material appears to be of high quality that I do not expect to pill, the seams are solid, and there are no loose strands of thread anywhere. There are no thin spots or corners due to shoddy fill either. You will not bottom out sitting on these, they do not squish down. These are substantial cushions that will not blow away when it gets windy.As for water resistance, "Spot clean only" tells me that they are not. They would need to be literally encased in plastic to be water resistant, so I would expect them to get water logged if rained upon.
