They are durable and sturdy; making it easy to use with smoothies and milkshakes (some others I've used are very flimsy and wouldn't insert easily). Have been using them for almost 1 full year regularly in my iced coffees, soft drinks, milkshakes, teas, smoothies, etc. and they have not stained nor discolored.
