Review: These have worked great! - I work professionally in the network infrastructure business. I had a customer that needed a link in between buildings with no line of sight for wireless bridges. I had to run cable 650' through conduit on a roof before we could even get our bridge up to shoot to the other building. I've never used this product before and was concerned that there would be issues. I'm happy to say that they worked beautifully! I installed these at two points in the cable run with a PoE+ injector at the head end and my wireless bridge at the other. Everything came up and has been working for over six months now without fail. The outdoor rated cord grips seem to be of very high quality and should provide excellent ingress protection. Since I was running my cable through conduit, these are installed in little enclosures on the roof so they're not actually exposed to rain/wind. However, they have help up inside a sealed box, on a roof, in the punishing Texas heat. Note: If you are installing an end device that need 24V passive power, Ubiquiti makes a little outdoor rated in-line converter (SKU: INS-3AF-O-G) for $20 that you install at the device end.
Review: Works but won’t last long, 1-2 months max. Tried two. Both dead in a month. - It won’t last! It works as it should for about 2-3-4 weeks then dies. The company is on the right track but I want something that will last for years not weeks. I’m trying to get internet to my shop which is exactly 300 feet away. This will work, and it works well when it works, it just won’t last long. Make them heavier duty and they will be a winner.

## Features

- Extends a PoE network connection beyond the standard 328 ft. limit, carrying both data and power over Cat5e or Cat6 cabling to a remote device without adding a separate power source at the extender location.
- Supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and delivers up to 25 W to one connected PoE device, making it a practical choice for outdoor network runs where Gigabit performance and IEEE 802.3af/at power are required.
- Daisy-chain up to four additional Model 561211 extenders to reach as far as 1,640 ft., helping expand coverage across large properties while continuing to use existing PoE infrastructure and network cable runs.
- Works with IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant PoE injectors and PoE switches on the input side, and sends power only to compliant PoE devices on the output side, while non-PoE devices receive data only for safer integration.
- Built for outdoor placement with an IP65-rated metal housing that is waterproof and dust tight, plus shielded RJ45 connectors that help reduce electromagnetic interference in electrically noisy or shielded installations.
- Compact 5.71 x 1.5 x 1.18 in. housing fits space-limited installs and includes wall-mounting holes for placement flexibility, while the fanless design supports silent operation in locations where added noise is undesirable.
- Uses one shielded RJ45 Gigabit input for a 48 V IEEE 802.3af/at signal and one shielded RJ45 PoE output port, with operation from -40 to 167 degrees F and a low 0.29 lb. net weight for easy deployment outdoors.
