It is exceptionally convenient and a great way to declutter the mess in a child’s bed or play room. We got one for each of our daughters this past Christmas, so almost 6 months ago. All the stuffed animals from their beds went into these. In fact, they hold so much that we even had to add blankets and comforters to make them feel full. I love the colors and they are easy to wipe clean because of the canvas. That being said-one of the two has already ripped in two separate places. And it’s not like we are slinging them around or really moving them at all. You can’t exactly have a pillow fight with these. So I’m not sure if we just got a faulty one (the other is perfectly fine) or if over time they will all be prone to this type of deterioration, but it was disappointing to find it happening after less than half a year. If I could figure out how to reach the company, I would see if the product could be replaced due to faulty manufacturing. It's a soft plush texture similar to plush throw blankets or short faux fur, but not velvet. Like other reviewers mentioned, it does get lumpy to sit in because most stuffed toys are lumpy when bunched together. Don't expect a smooth, uniform bean bag chair, since this is a fill-it-with-toys-yourself bag.
