That's the other thing- these LAST. plastic ones get limp and smelly after only a week or so. These stay bouncy and fresh for AGES. i occasionally toss them into a pot of boiling water for a few mins just to be extra sure they're not growing anything icky deep inside the sponge, but i probably don't need to, since the fresh smell tells me they're just fine. anyway- if you're looking to get away from the endless pile of plastic in your home, this is a good move.
