I have a smaller head size than some, measuring about 22 1/2" around. If you have a larger head it might feel tighter. I put a little cotton pad under the heavily beaded area which I wore off one side of my forehead. I could feel slight pressure, and I knew I'd be wearing it for a long time. I should have glued it in because it did move and I had to adjust it as the night went on.
