It does have a bit of a strong smell, but it isn't that bad to me at all. The taste is worth it. chicken, pork, and beef have a more intense flavor when i sear them in a pan. Eggs wil never be the same, because the tallow and a little real butter give them an epic flavor. I even mixed some into oatmeal and it gave it a smooth and moist finish, but no beefy taste.
