Review: I bought this duck foie gras, to make my own foie gras. I followed the recipe wich inlcude: salt, pepper, nutmeg and a sweet white wine. let it cure for 24hr. the next day I had to cut the foie gras in smaller pieces to fit the several small dishes I have. To my surprise one side of the liver was not devine. I had to wait so it will be at room temperature to remove the nerve. Overall the flavor was great, I would give 5 stars if the product was as the description. I will probably buy again and I will definitely check for nerves.

**Q: Hi - the title say 2.5 lbs but the product description say 0.9 - 1.4 lbs. Which one is correct?**
A: Average size is 1.2 lbs. 2.5 lbs is incorrect and this might be a typo added to the listing by an old seller.

**Q: Can this be shipped to California?**
A: Yes and No.  Sorry for the cryptic answer.  The California foie gras ban has been lifted earlier this year, so it's perfectly legal to ship and sell foie gras in California and we do this daily.  However, Amazon has not yet updated their policies on this product and has this as a restricted product for delivery in California, so through Amazon.com we can not currently fulfill foie gras orders to California.  So yes, we can ship this product to you, but not if you order it through Amazon.com until they update their restricted policy on this product.  Thank you - Gourmet Food Store team.

I bought this duck foie gras, to make my own foie gras.
