So don’t worry!I’m a size 10 (1980s size 12), so I went for a medium. When I put these on, they felt secure & comfortable, so much so I didn’t care too much what they looked like, but these fitted well around the waist, no ‘muffin top’. Being short, & having read reviews of another Runderwear style, I chose these to avoid them coming up to my armpits! These are rather high for hipsters, but expected this from reading other reviews. They’re not visible over the top of running bottoms & that’s what counts.These were worn for a 10K race in 25 deg heat, and were comfortable throughout. No fear of falling down, no rubbing or chaffing, no worries of coping with sweat. So Runderwear, well done on that.However... other reviews comment on VPL. VPL doesn't come close to describing the appearance! These appeared to completely segment my thighs/bottom! While there's no room for vanity while running, there should be a bit of room for feeling good and confident about yourself, particularly when you can feel quite exposed in tight running gear. These make you look anything but sleek from behind! I'm a size 10 and got a medium, so was hardly squeezing into something inappropriately small.
