I would order only 3-4 foot hight but I would not cut it shorter because you won’t have the rings to tie down. Hope this helps **Q: Does this product have a wind rating?** A: I don't know if it has a rating, ut we get some pretty fierce up here in the mountains.If secure all the grommets with heavy zip ties, and you don't have heavy debris blowing into it, it should hold up fine! **Q: Can this be installed between two poles without the chain link behind it?** A: We installed using trees, fence posts and added 2x4x8 on the top to secure. I originally had slats but the neighbors dogs pretty much ruined it so I needed another option. This worked out really well. I didn't get enough to do the entire property line and eventually wanted to ad a little more, a little at a time. I then purchased another brand earlier this year for a shorter height section in the back and right away noticed it was not as nice, thick or clearly as private. I installed it anyway and you can see in the picture the difference. It has been about 2 years since I put in the first section on the right and only this week during a bad wind storm (which happens a lot in the desert) did I get small holes in it. I decided to order another section but will use to cover a section that I did not cover the first time around and think it will do nice to overlap the old section a little bit, maybe to cover the little holes and really add to the privacy. If not I will buy another section and that should do great. We did struggle with the zip ties snapping a lot with the higher winds we get and finally tried some metal ones we found at harbor freight. They worked just fine as advertised except that rather than a 5 year lifespan, they are falling apart at much less than a year. The whole top web with grommets separated from the rest with virtually no resistance due to sun exposure. I plan to try to find a brand that is capable of lasting in the sun for the actual 5 years. Very disappointed. At only $38, I would have been surprised if it lasted 5 yrs. , but only 9 mo. is pretty bad.I have found other brands for the same price that actually have a 3 yr warranty. This was very easy to install on my fence. I did have help though. Measurements were spot on. It looks great over my fence. With this and the privacy slats, you cannot really see anything behind the fence. If it was just this screen, you would still be able to somewhat see behind it, not completely private, so heads up.
