It is a nice heavy weight, crystal clear, and casts a million rainbows.It was just what I was looking for. We've hung it on a southerly facing (its winter) french door window. It lays much nicer against the glass windowpane than a ball, it seems to have a broader surface area to refract light, hence the "million rainbows". I need to grab a picture, words just don't do it justice. My boys 6 and 2 love dancing through and "wearing" the rainbows. It has made our winter much brighter.
