They were very easy to put onto the velvet hangers as well as take off. On the normal sized hangers, once put on, they don’t slide. But as I said, it’s very easy to just take off and move it to a different place. I don’t remember which brand they are- I purchased them manu years ago at a Homegoods or something. On my small kids sized hangers (Zober brand), the clips are able to slide a bit with some force. Otherwise, they stay in place. I wrapped a tape measure around the hangers so you can see the thickness.
