I bought rubber mulch because it lasts a long time but it also loses it's color over time. What I did was raked all my mulch up into a pile on a large tarp. Then spread it out, sprayed it and let that dry, then moved it around with a rake to get the other sides. I used a garden sprayer and it was easy to do and went pretty quickly. Otherwise you are only spraying the top. This is the same color that my mulch was and now it looks new again. I only gave it 4 stars because I do not know how long it will last.
