Rule is made from spring tempered and hardened stainless steel and is 1.375” wide by .060” thick. It has a “zero-glare” satin chrome finish on the face that can be easily read in both low and bright light conditions. One face has metric graduations in both .5mm and mm and the reverse side has metric conversion tables and tap drill sizes. Graduations are precision photo etched and then black filled for easy readability. 100 mm divisions are marked in red. The sides of each rule are precision ground parallel to each other. It’s high quality, accurate and precise. I bought this to measure the placement of bridges on the flamenco and classical guitars I am building. These have scale lengths between 604, 650, 654, and 660 mm from the nut. This bridge placement must be done precisely to ensure the correct intonation of the guitar. I have an imperial steel rule from a US company that I use for steel string guitars which was nearly three times as expensive but I could not find a 1000mm rule at this quality at an affordable price except the shinwa - manufactured to meet a standard. I wanted direct mm and .5mm measurement because I don’t want to risk making an error. I have purchased now a complete set of rules from shinwa from 150mm, 300mm, 600mm and 1000mm. I like them very much. It would be great if you made available both rigid and flexible shinwa rules.
