I’d give it 10 stars if I could! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this device, but... *by V***V on October 8, 2024* I have purchased it to try, and I was very impressed how good the translation is. I would like to share a few things I have noticed: 1. If it is connected online, it uses AI and the translation is amazing. Probably 95-98% of accuracy. And the translation comes almost instantly. If you use simple and short sentences your accuracy will be close to 100%, but even if you use your "normal" communication with complicated sentences and idioms, it still translates impressively well. 2. You have to connect it to wifi and download language packs of your interest to use the device offline. The device has 8GB of memory, each pack is about 300-400MB, so the storage should not be an issue. But I do not think you should install all the languages, only the languages you need, since you will also need some storage for recordings. 3. In relation to offline translation, this device is not nearly as good as online. You MUST use simple short sentences. If you do that, the accuracy will be acceptable, probably around 90%. However if you use "regular" conversation-style, or long complicated sentences and idioms, the translation quality will not be acceptable at all, probably less than 30%. The translation speed for offline will not be instant, but acceptable, usually with 1-2 sec delay. 4. Texts are also translated reasonably well. First, the device will take a picture, then will run text recognition and will show both the recognized text and the translation. 5. The Device always shows text on the screen. As you speak, it records and runs speech recognition, then shows the text on the screen together with the translation. And it keeps all the translations until you decide to clean up history. 6. It is very easy to use, the interface is well-defined. There is only a handful of features so you do not need user manual at all. 7. It comes with preinstalled screen protector, silicon sleeve, neck strap, and a usb cable. You may need to buy storage case and usb power adapter. 8. Build quality is good, no complains here. It is reasonably small and thin. It has very good loud speaker and very good microphone. The screen is small, but bright. I have no issues with the device at all, it is well made and well thought of. So, based on all my experience with this device I definitely recommend it if there is a need for such translator (make sure you check a list of offline languages before buying). But the device has very limited functionality by its nature, and it should not be expensive for what it does.
